How important do you think the EQ of PM in project?

[i]I am recently starting a research on the relation between EQ of project manager and the team performance. As we all know, the performance of project has significant connection with project manager and the personality of PM also is one of the important factors influencing PM’s behavior. Among all the personality, EQ was emphasized in recent year in area of project management as an important element which should be considered seriously.

My thesis will focus on what is the relation between EQ of PM and performance and how they function in project management process.
